Agawam 10, Westfield 8
Agawam overcame a game-high six goals from Westfield’s Kara Racicot to hand the Bombers (3-1) their first loss of the season on a cool, blustery late afternoon Tuesday in the Whip City.
The Brownies stayed unbeaten, improving to 5-0.
Agawam put together a 7-4, first half lead with Isabella Spaulding scoring a team-high four goals. Vivian Gouvin and Olivia Govoni scored two goals apiece for the Brownies; Gabby Cosentini and Makayla Rosario each had one. Gianna Goodrow had three assists, and Cosentini got one.
Ellie Adams and Kayli Bush each scored for Westfield. Adams and Racicot also each had an assist.
Westfield goalie Leena Azam finished with eight saves. Agawam keeper Kilee Barna had four.
Westfield returns to action April 17 on the road against East Longmeadow, beginning at 7 p.m.

Rams sweep Red Raiders
Southwick 3, Athol 0
Southwick swept Athol 25,17, 25-23, 25-18 Tuesday to improve to 4-2.
Phong Tran (28 assists, three aces, seven digs), Nicolas Spina (ace, 15 kills, five digs), River Thompson (seven aces, nine kills, seven digs), Max Salvador (six digs), Zachariah Frailey (ace, two kills, four digs), Braden Iglesias (block, four digs), Daniel Methe (two kills, dig), Caleb Gaudet (dig), and Tyce Wilson (block) contributed for the Rams.
Southwick next travels to Chicopee to face the Pacers on April 17. The game begins at 5 p.m.
Bombers post fourth straight victory
Westfield 3, Minnechaug 0
Westfield (6-1) won its fourth straight match, defeating Minnechaug, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.
Zach Kukharchuk (16 kills, two aces, six digs, one block), Andrew Yerak (six kills, dig), Gio Gonzalez (eight kills, 15 assists, three aces, five digs, 1/2 block), Zack Maslar (four kills, three digs), Jake Satkowski (four kills, 1/2 block), Bogdan Kuzin (five kills, one ace, one dig, one block), Max Yurtuc (19 assists, five digs), Nolan Rodgers (four assists, four aces, 10 digs), Arlen Messier (one ace, three digs), and Mark Chyruk fueled the latest victory.

Saints win second straight contest
St. Mary’s 6, Pathfinder 4
St. Mary’s rallied from a three-run deficit in the fifth inning with a four-run, sixth inning to win its second straight game, a second consecutive league victory and improve to 3-1.
St. Mary’s pulled ahead with strong offensive outings from several players and some key sacrifice situations. Noah Amaral led the way for the Saints with two hits and a run scored. Tim Moran subbed in as a pinch runner in the bottom of the fifth inning and was responsible for the eventual winning run, a sacrifice bunt back to the pitcher that resulted in two RBI.
Ben King started on the mound for St. Mary’s, scattering three runs and five hits over four innings while striking out four. Saints’ Audrey Amaral provided three innings of scoreless relief, striking out four.
Tigers chase Gators
Westfield Technical Academy 22, Gateway 1
Westfield Technical Academy sophomore pitcher Josh Elmer followed up a perfect game to start the season with a one-hitter. Elmer recorded five Ks.
Jack Hall had a hit, two walks, a sacrifice fly and five RBI; Benjamin Harrington went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs and four RBI.
Bombers best Spartans to stay unbeaten
Westfield 7, East Longmeadow 2
Patrick Moore went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI to lead Westfield on April 14 in a road contest. Bombers’ Nolan Wondolowski went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Robert Nanotti had a hit, a walk, and two runs. Ryan Garvey scored two runs; Jackson LaValley and Paul Lawry each had one.
Westfield pitcher Anthony Roberts scattered four hits, four walks, and two runs (one earned) over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out eight batters.
Wondolowski provided 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief. He struck out three, walked two and allowed no hits.
Westfield (6-0) will look to stay unbeaten when the Bombers welcome Pope Francis (4-2) to Bullens Field on April 14. First pitch is at 4 p.m.
