10 Sting

The legendary WCW run of Sting saw him using a few different theme songs throughout his stint. Most fans would agree that the Crow version of Sting was the best and his theme song followed suit as the best of his run.

The mysterious element of Sting’s return to WCW gave him the perfect theme song for his first match back. Even though Starrcade 1997 set PPV records, the entrance for Sting is the high point of the disappointing match vs Hulk Hogan.
9 Dean Malenko

The stoic personality of Dean Malenko was used to perfection in WCW. Malenko was the most dominant cruiserweight during the division’s rise, having classic matches against the likes of Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Jericho.
Fans knew Malenko was coming to the ring when his entrance theme started to set the tone for his matches. WCW did a great job finding the right song that created the necessary mood needed for the wrestlers coming to the ring and Malenko summed that up perfectly.
8 Wolfpac

WCW took a huge risk letting Kevin Nash branch out to start the Wolfpac as a face version of the New World Order. Fans fell in love with the Wolfpac during its short run with the entrance theme song playing a role in the fun.
Major names like Nash, Sting, Lex Luger, and Randy Savage walking to the ring with a cool song made it an undeniable scenario where fans would cheer every time. The Wolfpac theme fit the group’s fun vibe perfectly to separate them from the prior nWo heel reputation.
7 Goldberg

The lightning in a bottle scenario of Goldberg made him the top star for WCW during the peak of his undefeated streak. Goldberg won over the audience with the dominant performances piling up the wins as the WCW Champion.
The theme song of Goldberg became a huge part of his presentation with the walk from his locker room to the ring. WWE still uses their version of the theme with fans still reacting huge when hearing the first few seconds of the iconic sound.
6 Four Horsemen

Any diehard WCW fan from the ‘90s has a strong connection with The Four Horsemen. Ric Flair took the late ‘80s faction and continued to thrive with it as WCW’s top heel act. Various members would come in-and-out of the group, with Flair and Arn Anderson as the cornerstones.
The theme song for the Horsemen was perfect to always deliver a reaction from the audience. Even the later versions of the group not having as much success would still see interest from the fan base with that song representing greatness.

Many of the best WCW theme songs are edited on WWE’s broadcasts of the shows due to copyright issues. WCW tried to get away with changing up popular songs to avoid getting sued, but time would see bands catch up when WWE bought the company.

Diamond Dallas Page had a tremendous theme song that was inspired by the smash hit “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana. The song had enough changes to make it stand out as DDP’s calling card. There were fun comments from Page added in the song to put it over the top.
4 Booker T/Harlem Heat

The incredible success of Harlem Heat made them the winningest tag team in WCW history by having10 tag title reigns. Booker T and Stevie Ray had a cool presentation with the gear and an entrance theme song that helped them get over before they even wrestled.
The split with Booker moving forward on his own allowed him to continue using the entrance song. Fans loved it and attached it to Booker to the point where WWE continued to let him use it. WWE did try to change it on a few occasions, but they always went back to the WCW song.
3 New World Order

WCW did everything right with the New World Order during the start of forming the group. Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall were the members when they introduced their first theme song to complete perfection.
The song instantly stood out as cool and interesting to have the audience invested even if it wasn’t associated with the hottest act in wrestling. WCW fans reacted loudly to any time the nWo song started playing with important moments following most times.
2 Ric Flair

The iconic theme song of Ric Flair was originally heard in the hit movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Flair walked to the ring in style with the song precisely matching the swagger for his entrances as a top heel character.
Even the turn as a face would see the song connecting the same since it was now beloved. Flair made a song known for a popular movie become associated with him as the ultimate success story for a wrestling theme song.
1 Hulk Hogan

The huge heel turn of Hulk Hogan to form the New World Order allowed him to completely change his character. Hogan started coming out to the Jimi Hendrix song “Voodoo Child” and it added another layer of appeal to his new act.
Eric Bischoff revealed that WCW paid $100,000 to the estate of Hendrix to use it for a couple of years. The value paid off as wrestling fans still associated it with WCW. Hogan walking to the ring for a big match with “Voodoo Child” created something special for WCW during its hottest time.
